Manual Email Setup in Outlook 2016

This tutorial will show you how to manually setup your Entrvst IMAP Email Account in Outlook 2016.


If the screenshots in this tutorial do not match what you see, you may have Version 1708, please use this tutorial instead.

Screenshots are for reference only. Please read the instructions at each step and do not use the information in the screenshots.


Choose your starting point: 




Determine Your Mail Server Address

You will use the mail server address for both incoming mail server and outgoing mail server settings when adding your email account to mobile devices or third party desktop applications. 

So, first let's determine your mail server address.


Step 1: Open a web browser on your computer and go to

Replace with your actual domain name.

For example, if your email address is, you would type in
Do not use a search bar or include http:// or https:// when entering the address into the browser's url bar.


Step 2: You will automatically be redirected to your mail server.

Your mail server address is the first portion of the URL, right before /Login.aspx.
In this example (below) the mail server address that we were redirected to is


Step 3: Please write down your mail server address, you will need it to complete the steps below.



If you are adding an email account to Outlook for the first time, you will see this prompt. 


Step 1: Click Next.



Step 2: At this prompt, Click Next



Step 3: Skip to Account Setup Details





If you are adding an additional email account to Outlook:


Step 1: Click the File tab.



Step 2: Click Add Account.




Account Setup Details


Step 1: Select Manual setup or additional server types, then click Next.





Step 2: Select POP or IMAP





Step 3: Complete the POP and IMAP Settings:

1) Enter your name, this will be the displayed on all outgoing messages (what recipients see).
2) Enter your email address.
3) Select IMAP from the drop-down.
4) Enter your mail server address twice.
5) Enter your email address again.
6) Enter your password.
7) Move the slider all the way to the right until it says All.

Click More Settings...







Step 4: Click the Outgoing Server tab and put a check in this checkbox.





Step 5: Click the Advanced tab and complete these fields:

1) Enter 993.
2) Select SSL.
3) Enter 587.
4) Select TLS.
Click OK.






Step 6: On this screen, click Next.






Step 7: Click Close






Step 8: Click Finish.



Your account has been successfully added to Outlook.
New email will be pushed to your Inbox in real-time, you do not need to click Send/Receive.




Disable Outlook Junk Filter



Step 1: Click on the Junk (drop-down) and select Junk E-mail Options...



Step 2: Select No Automatic Filtering, then click OK.
